Gina Saka

Gina has been teaching yoga since 2007 and has 18 years of experience in massage therapy & shiatsu. She brings another aspect to the yoga practice, an awareness of your body’s energy channels and a profound understanding of injuries. Gina took her first yoga class 20 years ago in a gym and the that was the beginning of her yoga path and a life long transformation. She completed the Temple of Kriya Yoga’s 200 hour Teacher Training, 2007 and completed Yogaview’s 200 hour Teacher Training, 2009 under the loving guidance of her teachers, Tom Quinn, Quinn Kearney, Claire Mark and Geri Bleier. She’s also studied with Paul Weitz, Seane Corn, Natasha Rizopoulos, Ana Forrest, Kim Wilcox, Kino MacGregor and Daylene Christensen. She is a graduate of The Chicago School of Massage Therapy, 1999 and holds certifications in Advanced Thai Massage and Shiatsu, Energy Healing and Reading.

Gina’s classes are accessible to all practitioners and are lighthearted, fun and challenging. Class is sequenced in safe way so that a student is properly warmed to go deeper if they desire to and there will always be variations/modifications of poses offered so everyone feels they can participate in class. I want my students to know their options and more importantly to know their limits so they can be confident in their practice and can just have their own experience in class. I want you to feel better leaving class then you did when you walked in and to really find and connect to that place inside yourself, perhaps for the first time. I want you to be be amazed at what you can do and to really experience all the benefits that a regular yoga practice can bring to your life and I look forward to teaching you.”
